Friends and Followers:

Many of you have heard about the suspension of operations at Saint Joseph’s College, and some of you know that we are both tenured professors at the school. Sally has been teaching at SJC for 19 years; I have been there 39 years.

According to industry research, over 80% of innkeepers have at least one full-time job outside the inn. That applies to us. While we enjoy bountiful bookings from May – November, we need our salaries to assist in the winter months.

We will insist the new owners honor reservations already made. In the meantime don’t hesitate to book rooms, and check back here often to see updates! We will be posting similar updates on our blog on

Additionally, we are open to the idea of selling it as a private home. Those who have visited and stayed with us know that this is a well-maintained historic home in a quiet neighborhood just minutes walking to downtown shops and stores.
