Our grandbabies!

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Over the holidays, our grandchildren (and their parents!) came to visit. We have to brag! Here is a picture of the two: Anne & Jeffery. They are two months apart.

“Rensselaer Adventures” blog

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

A friend of ours keeps a blog reporting “events and interesting tidbits” around Rensselaer. He and his wife were at the house recently and his blog provides some pictures and commentary about The White House on Park Avenue. There are two parts, and I’ve posted the links here…

Some Holiday Photos…

Here are some pictures of The White House on Park Avenue, taken by our good friend, Fr. Tim McFarland, C.PP.S. One of Fr. Tim’s hobbies is photography, and we think he’s pretty good at it!!

Christmastime!

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

It’s been months since we’ve updated! So sorry to all our fans, but I’ll be posting some thoughts and pictures over the next few weeks.

Sally and I increased from 6 to 8 Christmas trees in the house this year.

We’re getting ready to host travelers and family alike over the holidays. My brother and family will be staying a couple of days over Christmas, and we have local families using The White House on Park as overflow housing throughout the holidays. Plus, we’re filling up for New Year’s Eve as well.

Early December saw us saying goodbye to our long-term business guest, Nancy. She had stayed with us since September 2008, and her work in the area is finished. We took her out to dinner during her last week, and have vowed to visit her in Phoenix when we can.

We’ve hosted two Christmas parties at The White House on Park – a group of Saint Joseph’s College faculty, and the Brook United Methodist choir. I’ve included some lo-res pix of the events…
